BIG CLIFF RESERVOIR: The reservoir was stocked last week.
CLACKAMAS RIVER : Summer steelhead angling has been good with the river in excellent shape. Clackamas River tributaries are also in good condition and forecasts for a dry week should lead to good fishing for the next several days. The water temperature is down into the low 50’s. Reports from anglers say that the coho have been seen throughout the river system. Look for the coho angling to remain steady in the coming days, with a continued push of fish through late September and into October.
There have been many reports this summer of a considerable amount of litter in and along the river. Please take the time to use available garbage cans at boat ramps or parks, and pack out what you pack in.
Bank anglers will find the best steelhead or coho angling opportunities in the Gladstone/Cross Park area, at Carver near the mouth of Clear Creek, at Barton Park , up in McIver Park at Dog Creek, and near Rivermill Dam. Boat anglers should find access to the river from boat ramps located at McIver Park , Feldheimers, Barton, Carver, Riverside or Clackamette.
