Tragedy

A very and tragic event took place at Lake Limestone ( powerplant lake in central Texas, near Fairfield). A Gamewarden (TP&W) after spending a day on the lake patrolling was bringing his boat into the launching ramp right after sundown (sometime between 9:00 & 9:30 pm) and ran over a young woman (age 31) swimming, with his boat. The woman died either there or in route to hospital.... Tragic things do happen to good people, and it can happen to any of us.

What was she doing swimming after sun down!? Especially near a boat ramp!?

That wasn't very smart on her part!

I don't know all the details, so a judgement would be hard to make. However the gamewarden is on Att. leave pending investigation. He did provide aid and also called the EMS. The launching ramp is located at a lake park with picnic spaces and is a place where locals swim and bank fish, but their is no marked off swimming area. I'm a little puzzled how this could have happen to. I have only met the man on occasion and he seems very down to earth and I don't believe he would have blasted into the launching area.
