[size 2]PIERRE, S.D – Anglers can try their luck at the First Annual Walleye Tournament held at Walker’s Point Recreation Area near Madison. The park will host the catch and release competition on Oct. 9.[/size]
[size 2]The two-person teams will fish from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. First, second and third places will receive cash prizes for the highest total weight walleye.[/size]
[size 2]Those interested can register at the Lake Herman State Park office or at the Madison One Stop Conoco. Pre-registration is required. Entry fee is $50 per team. The tournament is limited to 30 teams.[/size]
[size 2]Participants must have a valid fishing license and a park entrance license. Walker’s Point Recreation Area is located nine miles southeast of Madison off S.D. Hwy 19. For more information on the tournament, contact the park office at (605) 256-5003.[/size]
