Fall saltwater report
#1
The fall fishing started off with a bang in the ocean with Black Seabass being the main catch then a Noreaster came up the coast just slightly off shore and screwed everything up and all but shutdown the fishing there is still a significant swell but the catches are slowly starting to come back I have spoken to several guys going out and the reports vary from short seabass to 1 or 2 short stripers I have read the partyboat reports and they all say they are slaying the fish but people that have gone on the partyboats are saying the opposite 2 weeks ago I went out for seabass and the Ocean was pretty rough and that was before the Noreaster hit now the ocean is just starting to calm down a bit another week and it should be fishable again and the striper run should heat up and the seabass fishing should get back to normal just in time for Blackfish season to open
