refinishing lures?
#1
This is the deal. I do alot of trolling for "toothy" critters, and when the water is too rough to high speed troll with my Marauders and bonito lures, I have to slow it down and use my Yo Zuri's. The problem is that they last about 15 or less hits before the darn finish is chewed off of them. Those lures are about twenty bucks a pop, and it doesn't take long for the fish to knaw the damn paint off. That gets pricey, they don't hold up like those Braid lures, but the Braid lures aren't as effective as the Yo Zuri's at lower speeds. My question is this: Is there a way to refinish the lure so I don't have to go out and purchase another one every time the finish gets used up? Is there a special type of paint to use, or is it even paint at all? And where would I get the material to re-finish them at? What kind of prices am I looking at, so i'll know if it's even worth doing. Thanks guys, any incite would be greatly apprecitated.
