Jack Lower Named 2004 South Dakota Conservation Officer’s Association Scholarship Recipient

[size 2]PIERRE, S.D. -- Jack Lower of Sioux Falls was recently named this year’s recipient of the South Dakota Conservation Officer’s Association (SDCOA) scholarship.[/size]
[size 2]"A graduate of Lincoln High School in 2001, Jack will be graduating this coming spring from South Dakota State University," said Tom Petry, GFP Conservation Officer from Canton and current President of the SDCOA. "He then will begin his pursuit of becoming a conservation officer, his career of interest since the 7th grade." Petry noted that Jack gained valuable experience towards his endeavor last summer while working as a Wildlife Intern for GFP.[/size]
[size 2]Jack is the ninth beneficiary of the endowed scholarship fund established by the SDCOA. The scholarship was developed to assist juniors or seniors with an interest in conservation law majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Science at South Dakota State University with an interest in conservation law enforcement. Jack received his award Oct. 29 at the 56th Annual Buffalo Banquet in Brookings. The Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation Club hosted the banquet.[/size]
