Saturday, I ran down to Cardiff which is by San Diego for a Shore Angling Tournament hosted by the Unites States Shore Angling Association. Well organized group and some good people. Lots of trophies, sharks, rays, spotties amongst other fish.
If you havn't tried shore angling give it a shot. Your in the water waist deep casting out and who knows what can start tuggin' on ya'.
Anywhere from 8 to 15 pound test would do. Huge long stick was not necessary a good 7,8,9 foot rod would get you in the mix. 2,3,4 ounce dropper loop #2 hook with ghost shrimp, squid or anchovies and you would be right in the mix.
Romerofisherking won I believe it was 3 different trophies. I will let him post and break it down.
