Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
[blush]Fishing has begin to show improvement on both lakes. Fishing has really been slow for the past three weeks or so. There has been no rain and the bite for most fish has been slow. The past three days we have had some clouds and a breeze. Largemouth and smallmouth improved. Largemotuh are on the mainlake points. Watch for the baitfish. Crankbaits are catching most of the fish. No one crankbait seem better than another. Smallmouth are hitting Carolina rigged worms on the deeper drops in the bays. Kentucky Lake is the better lake for smallmouth now. Catfishing is good above the dams in both lakes. Catfishing below Barkley Dam is good. A lot of different baits are working. Bluegill are good early and late around the docks. Meal worms are working well. Whitebass are still scattered but small jumps have been seen at the mouths of the larger bays on Kentucky Lake.

TIP: Remember the temp in the lakes drop quicker when there is a strong wind.
