Yesterday I spotted a whooping cough..

oh wait, thats not a bird...

this is a great program. michigan has it as well. I managed to get in to a count one spring with sandhill cranes. we dont see them much our way. well at least in recent years. I spotted 4 in late march a couple years back.

I have been looking for a bird I havent seen in nearly 40 years. and that is the downy wood pecker in an apple tree one winter out side my bedroom window, beutifull bird. I may have seen the last one in all of south east michigan for any time in the forseable future.

what is your most rarest bird you ever spotted.

I spotted a great horned owl once half mile from my house as well, havent seen him in years. they need at least one square mile of wilderness in order to survive.

peta couldnt save that bird. they were to bussy saving deer from hunters that year. the following year the developers destroied seveal hundred acres of horned owl foraging ground near by its nest. needless to say the owl is long gone.....

great artical... thanks for the share...
