Game and Fish to Host Landowner Appreciation Banquets
#1
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department will host eight landowner appreciation banquets across the state this winter, and is inviting all landowners to attend.
"We have been developing this idea for several months," said Jeb Williams, department outreach biologist. "It's our way of saying thank you to landowners for all the work they put into providing habitat and allowing access, thereby ensuring North Dakota's strong hunting heritage continues."
The banquets will be held in January and February in each of the eight game and fish advisory board districts. "The locations are centrally located in each district," Williams said, "that way traveling will be somewhat limited."
An invitation letter has been sent to all landowners explaining the details. Landowners are encouraged to return the postage-paid RSVP so caterers can be notified for meal preparation. If a landowner hasn't received an invitation by Dec. 15, contact the department at 701-328-6300 to have one mailed.
"We really hope these banquets are well received," Williams said, "because we believe this is important, and it is something we would like to see continue on an annual basis."
The banquets will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. local time at the following locations: [ul] [li]Jan. 19, New Salem, City Auditorium. [li]Jan. 24, Towner, Towner School. [li]Jan. 26, Medina, Medina School.
