Winter Steelheading -12/24
#1
Winter time is my favorite time for fishing! Nothing can beat the drag screaming runs of a giant silver-sided steelhead. The fall hordes of anglers are now gone and complete solitude is not out of the question. There can be no better way to beat the cabin-fever- blues then to pursue the some steelies on the Salmon River.
Fishing this December has been slow over all. However with the mild weather last few days it has improved, with good catches reported up and down the river. Another cold front hit us over night and the lake effect produced around 10 inches of light fluffy snow. I can guess this will put a damper on things for a few days. Next week it looks good for another warming trend, lets hope this one lasts a little longer.
Merry Christmas and have a safe 05' everyone! Thanks to all who checked us out in 04'.
