12/30 bottom fishing report
#1
I went out on the Prowler V out of the Atlantic Highlands today we made several moves and drops the water was dead calm the conditions were great no wind the fish just weren't that hungry I took home 4 nice sized ling therer wer a few tautog caught my buddy got some Conger eels and there were tons of spiny dogfish I caught some of everything except the tautog the fish just didn't come back to life after the freeze and heavy winds we've been having and there were no green crabs around anywhere for bait so we were stuck using clams which could have made the difference after friday the tautog limit drops to a 4 fish bag limit so they won't be the target of most boats ling will be the main target and some boats are now fishing for mackeral
