11-Mile Sunday
#1
Took my two sons up yesterday. It was my 8 year old Tommy's first ice fishing trip. You guessed it[cool] Two minutes after I dropped his jig down the hole a fish tried to take the rod out of his hand. After several minutes and long runs it broke the line while in the hole. Fortunately I was able two reach down into the hole and scoop it out[Tongue] I think my son is hooked[cool]

It was a beautiful 21", 5lb Cutbow that was mostly Cutt. It had a orange and gold body, with flaming red gill plates. It was probaly the most pretty trout we have ever caught. I will post a picture after they are developed. (Sure hope the pictures do it justice)?

I had two hits in the next four hours and that was it[Sad]

Thanks for the report Neal. Can't wait to see the pictures!! Isn't it great to get your kids out? I love that part, especially when they're the ones who catch the fish.

I have not been doing very good ice fishing, I can't wait for the ice to be off so I can get my boat wet.
