Last Friday (May 18th) two Kona boats hooked up with 1000+ lb. Pacific blue marlin. Jerry Allen, captain of the "Sea Dancer" who is also a yacht broker here in Kona landed his (actually the angler did it...don't know the name) 1000+ (something teen) marlin after just a little over 2 hours. <br><br>Capt. Dan Gibbons of the "Marlin Grando" had a toughter time of it. A 10 hour fight that ended up in a broke line a the customer complaining to the booking agent about how the charter captain "took too long" fighting the fish and getting them back in to the dock [mad].
