fishing report
#1
Hi Captain Glenn Grimes reporting for 1/22/05.The fog had rolled in just as we were launching the boat.It soon cleared up and we were on our way.The first stop at Mondongo Island in upper Pine Island Sound produced 2 nice gag grouper from 20" to 22"long.Plus 1 nice sheepshead and 1 mangrove snapper.Freelining live shrimp to the deep channel in front of the mangrove trees. On the next stop on a tree the hurricane blew into the sound. That tree produced 2 more gag grouper from 18" to 20"long.Plus 1 nice sheepshead. We had quite a few breakoffs on this particular tree. From there we fished the lower portion of San Carlos bay.Fishing with live bait jigheads and shrimp we managed to boat 3 small redfish to 16"long.For the last stop of the day we Caught 40+ seatrout on D.O.A. shrimp imitations fished under popping corks.Their were 6 keepers of 16" to 18"long.Most of the trout were 14"long.To visit my website log on to www.pine-island-fishing.com.Thank you Capt Glenn.
