[#000000]We are now hosting live chats on our website every Wednesday night at 7:30 EST. Come join us for some fishing Q & A. Also we now have a nice newsletter we send out every two weeks that is small, but informative to keep you up to date with our reports, and other information about us, and the Central Florida area. [#0000ff]Lake Toho[/#0000ff] [#000000]( October 12, 2002 ) - Bass Fishing is getting better every day. Just last week we had several days with fish in the 5 to 8 pound range, and one just over 9. Three days ago we landed 35 bass on a eight hour trip. The best results for bass is fish early, and live bait. I still do not recommend an eight hour day, the best amount of fish can be caught in a 4 hour trip, or a 6 hour trip which we now offer. These fish are hitting shiners, mostly the small ones for now, and they are in open water around hydrilla in about 4 to 6 foot of water.[/#000000]

[#000000] For fishing artificial lures, the Super Fluke by Zoom is still the greatest. You can access their website directly and order them there. We are also doing real good on Storm's Chug Bug in Tennessee Shad, and Chrome-Black. After around 10 am, try going deep with a six inch black with blue tail worm, with an eighth ounce weight, and fish slow. It has been working for us. [/#000000]

[#000000] We are still waiting for confirmation on the Toho Drawdown. It seems they are waiting for the approval of the US army corps of engineers. It does seem that they will do the drawdown as scheduled.[/#000000]

[#0000ff]Indian River, Mosquito Lagoon[/#0000ff] [#000000]( October 12, 2002 ) We have had some great days on the Flats. Just about everyday, we have had several Redfish that were over 27 inches. There were a couple of days were the redfish wouldn't eat anything, they would just play with their food. just this last week we had a trip to the Indian River with a repeat client, and we boated over 107 fish, 9 Redfish, and 98 Trout. Most trout are between 10 to 15 inches with several going to 24 inches.[/#000000]

[#000000] Working our way south to Sebastian Inlet we had a great run with some Snook, and Tarpon. On one day we jumped 7 tarpon, and boated one close to 70 pounds. The tarpon are coming in on Live Mullet with their tails cut. The snook are being caught best on Zoom Super Flukes in White, or Chartreuse. I am sure by now those who read my reports see Zoom Super Flukes in here a lot. I will tell you that is because they work a lot. It seems that it does not matter freshwater for Trophy Bass, or saltwater for Redfish, Snook or Trout, these things really work. There are also many different ways to fish them. I will be writing an article on the many different ways to use this very versatile bait.[/#000000]

[#000000] Saltwater Flats Fishing is real good right now, and probably will be for another month or so. This is a great time to be here because October, and November is one of the special times when the Bass season, and the Flats overlap and you can get in some great fishing on both types of water. Give us a call toll free to reserve your trip down for a couple of days fishing.[/#000000]
