Fly fishing for smallmouth bass
#1
A biologist friend of mine told me he recently had very good luck using his own hand tied flies on Wildcat Creek in Central Indiana. Dan caught several 10 to 15 inch smallies and one that went 17 1/2 inches. This happened around Oct. 11. AlbertG

Hello AlbertG,

Welcome to the BFT message boards! Thank you for the heads up! I'm not in your area and will probably never have the chance to fish the Wildcat Creek area but I would be curious to know what flies he was fishing?

If you plan on getting out and giving it a shot let us know how it turns out?

Albertg,

This is pretty good news. I used to fly fish the White River in Indianapolis with pretty good success. I'll have to try Wildcat Creek.

Thanks for the post!
