Be wary of Sweetbriar ice!
#1
People are still driving on but they are nuts, the ice is only 15" and has sustained extensive heat damage added with the water lowering is forming pockets around the edges it appears but I cannot confirm. The ice is sloped down and shaped like a bowl extending out about 10 feet from shore. The last time i was out a huge crack has started along the shore and the ice is starting to separate almost like it's settling down with the water. THis is why I think there may be air pockets under the first 10 feet of ice. Remember no ice is completely safe. The other night they dropped a vehicle through on Lake Audoban and almost dropped another four wheeler in the same day so BE careful out there!!
