Fishing at Parker Canyon Lake
#1
The husband & I went out several times in the last 10 days. He was in need of a short vacation which is always best spent fishing.[Wink]

The lake was stocked with rainbows last Tuesday but they haven't really figured out what they want to do yet. They're not big enough to take home yet so that's okay.

We got skunked a couple of days but caught a few small bass on a couple more. Today; collectively; we caught 3 small bass, 1 stocker rainbow & 2 black bullhead. Needless to say, we're eating Fried catfish tonight[Wink]

The bass & catfish hit on natural worms & the trout hit on a spinner. The trout was fun even though it was small. I was using my Shimano Sensilite rod with their Spyrex reel & 4lb test. It gave a nice little tug.

The lake is beginning to turn so there won't be any bass for awhile. The sunfish seem to have gone to their winter sleepbeds already. The pike should be coming on strong in the next week or so. Big cats are hitting at night.

That's about it from SE Az. for now.

Tight lines!
