#1
well bust my britches and feed me cornpone

Earlier I reported that there was no ice fishing in Alaska.

well check this out not only is there icefishing in alaska but an anual event in Anchorage.

Ice Fishing Jamboree held this year February 14th and 15th

The fish you might pull out of the hole is Rainbow Trout, little salmon that are extras from the salmon hatcheries Lake Trout, Northern Pike, and Burbot.

The seasons for ice fishing in Alaska are October to November through March and April

follow this link to a report written by children of alaska about the sport of icecishing in their state.

The "Lake Maps Series" by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game was developed to provide anglers with useful information about the lakes on our area to enhance their fishing experience. Information available to anglers in these resources include a bathymetric (underwater contour) map of most lakes, the average depths, maximum depths, stocking histories, surface area and much more. Information on stocked lakes is available for the Anchorage, Matanuska-Susitna, Kenai, Kodiak, Upper Copper Upper Susitna and Prince William Sound areas. Similar information for some unstocked lakes is also available.Southcentral Lakes Interior Lakes [#0000ff]Anchorage Area Stocked Lakes[/#0000ff]
