Children and Anglers to Help DEP Fisheries Staff Stock Trout At Six Locations on Opening Day ? Saturday, April 16

Fisheries staff from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will be available to answer questions from the public and the media at six locations on Opening Day, April 16, 2005. Biologists will be explaining trout parks to the public as well as emphasizing fishing regulations in Connecticut. They will also be surveying anglers to collect information on the number of people fishing, number of trout being caught, and to get a feel for the success and satisfaction of anglers on Opening Day.

This will be the only opportunity for the media to catch up with DEP Fisheries Biologists on Opening Day.
