Big Sandy Crappie Report May 27, 2001
#1
The Water level is 361 with the water temperature around 73 to 76 deg. The crappie were scattered this weekend along with the Jet skies and House boats. We did manage to boat 27 crappie yesterday topped by a 1 ½, All of the crappie were caught in 9 to 12 foot of water holding next to structure. Local fisherman have caught fish in 4 to 25 foot of water this past week so try moving around by slow trolling jigs or minnows over various depths of water and structure till you find the pattern. Best baits for the weekend were TeeZur Candy Blue head with a Blue and white skirt a TeeZur hot head white with red/black eyes with an orange/chart skirt, and the Teezur Green Monster. Make sure to book your Guide trips this fall so you want miss out on some of the best fishing of the year, Please be courteous to others and play it safe while on the water. Take a Kid fishing with you next time and have a Blast.
