VT. trip
#1
Sat. we where on the water at 6;30 and fished the channel and Lily pond section. 18-lgmouth and one smallie on Javier's new bait. My best for the year so far a 20" useing Maniacs cinamon colored senco. Caught two on emerald green I made. Sunday: Back to the same spots and later headed out to the big water and got 18- fish of a mixed bag rock bass, pickerel, and musky.Biggest lgmouth for the day was an 18" on beavertails. Finnally got some fish on them. Lucky lures and rapalas worked on the big water. Lost a 30" musky at the boat, just frayed the 10 lb. fireline. Mon: Checked out Glenn Lake and had to work hard for 3 fish. One a 18" lgmouth That Bob got.Headed back to Catherine, but had to get off as soon as we launched due to thunder showers. Tues: Fished the Lily pond area in the am and got 5- bass. Black beavers where working well fished like a brushhog. Headed to the deep wter in pm and finished the day with 7-musky, 3-smallmouth [ 1-18"] Largest lgmouth again at 18". Many rock bass caught as well. Wed: fished the am in the deep lake for smallies and ended our trip with 4-lgmouth,3-smallies, [ another 18" one] Before heading for home. Great trip and we'll be back in the fall.
