Adirondack FUN!
#1
[size 1]Took the family on a week long camping trip to the foothills of the Adirondacks- We had a great time! Mostly relaxing but we did get in some fishing & we caught a LOT of fish! Crappies, perch, smallmouth, largemouth, rock bass, rainbows and brown trout. We did release many more then we kept. Some of the fish were having a hard time recovering so they became dinner.
We used little Needle Fish spoons off the smallest Big Jon dipsies they make for the trout. Most the bass and crappies we caught were with small jig-heads with glow twister tails.
Here's my boy puttin us on the fish- [Image: 886daviddriving-med.jpg]
And here's the result-

Mom & David with some pan friers. David did help reel some in!
The BIG smallie was just under 17inches- the crappies were between 10-12inches- we released 2x as many in just a few hours.

Here's little Patrick with another nice bow
these rainbows jump like crazy!!

And Heather with a decent brown trout that gave her a great fight!
It was 18 inches- my old man released one well over 20inches.

Hi Shane, Great looking family and it looks like a lot of fun for the whole family as well. Could you tell our readers where your vac. was spent? What body of water did you camp or use a cabin? Hope to see more like this from other readers. Chief

Thanks Chief- I'm very fortunate to be blessed with my family.
We roughed it on state lands camping in tents- The best I will say is it's a smaller lake on the south western side of Tug Hill and the foothills of the Adacks. We've been fishing the lake for almost 20 years, thus our success. For people looking for great fishing I have had good action on Black Lake, Stillwater Res and Piseco Lake among others.
The Adacks are loaded with tons of great fishing spots but it can take time to discover the best.
