hey all..i live in cali and me and my family are taking a trip up to alaska opn august 12
i already have all the fishing planned, i just need any advce, tips, tricks, etc for both boat and pier/shore fishing at cook inlet and prince william sound
tackle reccomandations appreciated

I would say when you tie on your hooks to tie it with a long tail then tie on a no-slip not before clipping the tail line. those big salmon can make tremendous runs and can stretch you line untied otherwise.

get plenty of rest before you go out, you will have your work set out for you.

deffenatly stop in and talk to the locals at the bait shop up there, they will be happy to set you in the right direction. (it is not the same as asking for directions on how to get some where on a map[Tongue])

fresh information is always your best tool...

Wished I could be more help,,, maybe some of the locals will see this and toss you a tip or two.

I know that at times there are fish in the mouth of the rivers but quite often they do run up river and hole up at the highest point they can get.
