Crappie Length Limit Lifted On Some Alabama Waters

[font "Arial"]MONTGOMERY, AL—The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) has dropped minimum length limits for crappies on public impoundments 500 acres and smaller, unless otherwise posted. The DCNR says it approved this change because biologists have determined that crappie populations in these waters normally don’t need protection from a minimum length limit. [/font]
Alabama’s daily crappie bag and possession limit is 30 unless otherwise posted at the lake, and there’s no closed season.
