Parking in Erie, Pa.

Just a quick note to anyone who parks along Route 5 near the Elk creek access area in Erie Pa., it is now illegal to park there. This comes thru Girard boro and the State police. This was a very popular place to access Elk creek for many people fishing for steelhead from the fall right thru spring. Looks like the lower parking lots will be the only "legal" place to put your vehicle now.<br><br>Moderator

Another place to park is behind Elk Creek Sports. Just go past the store on the side road and follow it to the bottom of the hill. I think that the fish comm. bought more land at the end of this road. The way some people parked on Rt 5 it was a dangerous situation, somebody was bound to cause an accident.<br><br>Bob
