Hi Bassman

I thought I would let you Q run for a bit to see if we could get some other Basser's to help you out. None so far so here is a few comments from me.

(a) Choose colours for your baits and lures that match local knowledge and/or fish species.
(b) Check each lure to make sure it has a small tight action. This is most often influenced by the bib shape on the lure so have a play around with different ones.
© If Bass are your main target species then focus on soft baits that also have some action to them.
(d) Have you tried bucktail jigs as well? If not, give then a go because plenty of good freshwater fish are caught on them and you can get in tight amongst the weed beds and snags on them.

Which state are you in? We might be able to get some other local comment for you here as well.

Another question. Are you making your own baits and lures or buying pre-bought plus and divers and then painting them up from their?

Either way it makes not big difference as long as you can get they swimming right and in the best local colours. Then it's down to how your presenting each bait/lure and working it on the fish.

That's a start at least and I would like to hear from other Bass anglers on this one too.

Let's hear your comments and help Bassman out here because I am no Bass expert that's for sure...

Burnin Thumbs!

Steve - The MJB
BFT Lures/Baits
http://www.demonjigs.com
