Fished Long Pond in North Stonington Saturday without much luck. Three 15/18" pickerel and a heathy 11" perch in about 6 hours. Used mainly rattlers, senkos, spinner but nothing hitting for me. Decided to leave about 1:00 and backed the trailer in to pick up my 14' Lund. Loaded the boat on the trailer and as I put it in gear my truck rolled back putting the trailer wheels into a hole. As I pulled forward there was something, rock,ledge that caught the wheel. I knew I was in trouble when the left trailer tire floated to the surface. Needless to say it was a tow truck from there to Branford. A not so good day of fishing turned sour quick. Will be a LONG time before I visit LONG POND again! Watch out for that ramp.
