Another Lake Mead Striper Story
#1
Fished Saddle and Pumphouse Coves Friday after the trout plant. Maybe 5 boats and about 5 boats arrived right after sunset. Water temp 56. Clear, very light breeze or calm most of the day. I hooked one in Saddle Cove about noon which hit the trolled 10" swimbait 3 solid times and then took about 75 ft of line. I made a mistake in playing him of not driving the Skeeter up to him. Instead tried to turn him and he wrapped me in some rocks and broke off 15# Yo-Zuri. Ouch! and $20.00 gone...plus a line re-spool. Only hook up I saw all day.

That's the problem with thse damn fake trout lures... you can break the bank if you loose more than one per trip.
Hope I can get out there in the next few weeks.
My new schedule really sucks.
