i'm not sure whats going on with t.u.t. this weekend , last thing i heard about houghton lake was that the hole the last two snowmobilers went thru ( not yet recovered ) is now a half mile wide and three miles long .

Dispite the tragity the festivities are going on this week end and next week end as well.

I am glad that they did not close down, it is the towns biggest money maker and most of the buisness need the income to tide them through the cold season.

It is a most unfortunate that unweary soles do not concider the conditions of the ice before going out for a joy ride.

my heart does go out to the family's for their loss...

yes it's still on with plenty of saftey support teams on patroll and around the perimiter of the hole . the message from the news cast tonight is that anyone on the ice to keep there speeds down and to know where the safe areas are .
