WHERE'S THE PICS?

I don't know of any glitches, but will check into it. If posts are edited they should say edited at the bottom. If you know which posts, It would help me figure out whats going on?

[cool] In the thread started by HalibutRalph, yesterday the photos posted were just blank spots, and the personal logos by leapinbass were gone. The pics are back this morning but the logos are still missing. Is that because they are perceived as advertising, or what?

There were also a few photos in the Float Tubing board tht were not displaying yesterday, but are back today.

[size 1]No, unless an item (i.e. logo, picture, etc..) is offensive, pornographic, etc.. we would not just delete it. [/size]

[size 1]In the case of advertising in a post we typically let someone know that we have a board for that and give them a chance to move their post to that board. [/size]

[size 1]In the case of advertising in signature files we ask that people exercise some discretion but if they are contributing to the board not "only" advertising we try to stay out of policing signature files. If someone was abusing this we would typically email, private message, or post something to the effect requesting that they revise it (which to my knowledge has never happened) the same way we handle posts of this manner.[/size]

[size 1]In the case of leapinbass, I checked it out and he may want to check the site he was linking the photos and logo's from because those icons are not actually on our server, there may be a problem with the site they were hosted on. I would be happy to post the logo's on our servers to avoid this in the future.[/size]

[size 1]On the issue of missing photos, it again, is most likely due to these photos being stored on a site that may be down. If they were photo's that were on our server if you see an x typically just refresh and it should be o.k. because if you are on the boards our box is up and there should not be a problem.[/size]

[size 1]I hope that helps, and to help with posting of pictures I will do some research on sites that hold picture library's for users for no charge and let you know what I find out. In the mean time please feel free to email the pictures here and we will post them to our server so they can be added.[/size][/size]
