kENAI PENINSULA FISHIN
#1
Just returned home to Utah from Soldotna and surounding area. Being as it was our first trip to Alaska we booked our trip with a fishing lodge and it was a great experience. We booked with the Gone Fishin Lodge in Soldotna. The owners,Dick and Ralph are great people and will make sure you have a great trip. They employ some of the most knowledgeable I have met. These guys understand the water they are fishing. We, me and the wife, limited out on every trip. We went to Anchor Point for halibut, to Seward for silvers, flew out for reds, drifted the Kenai for dolly vardens and rainbows and floated the Kenai for kings. What a fun week. The wife kinda kicked butt on the kings. She landed a 51 pounder all by her 115 pound self.

welcome home, sounds like a whale of a time,

hope you didnt forget to pack your camera, we have [#333366]Photo Gallery[/#333366] where bigfishtackle will host your fishing pictures for free...

biggest one I ever landed was about 30 pounds on a river in north east michigan during thier fall runs.

I caught a small 15 pounder a couple years ago on the west side of the state, http://www.bigfishtackle.com/photos/showphoto.php/photo/1048/cat/500/ppuser/89

Didn't catch anything over 76 pounds. We caught mostly fish in the 30 to 45 pound range but everyone says they are the best eating.
