Ice conditions
#1
This is the time of year you have to be extra careful on the ice. If it looks bad it is. Yesterday on Shawano north end one went in, best thing only 4ft of water, ice is only 4in thick in that spot. The report is, mid 30's day time and 20's night, But the nights are getting shorter, and the sun is higher in the sky. You can go out in the morning and the shoreline is fine, and when you return it may not be so good. I have heard of being on the Bay all day and to get off you have to go up or down the shoreline for miles. If the weather stayes this way for the week fishing panfish should be good. Try to stay on top. (of the ice that is)
