Fishing is reported to be fair. Bass, including Smallmouth and Kentucky, are being taken using float and fly off of secondary points and bluffs in the backs of creeks. Fishing at 10-12' depths has produced decent numbers. Crappie fishing seems slow but some catches have been reported while fishing for bass with the float and fly at the same depths. Fishing a yellow asprin head jig over grass beds in 18-20' of water has been reported to land catches of bass, trout and crappie. There is little activity reported with Musky and Walleye at the current time.
Currently 123 drownings have occurred on Dale Hollow Lake. Of those fatalities, 0 were wearing life jackets. Remember to boat smart from the start, and always wear your lifejacket. Boat Safe. Boat Smart. Wear it. Life jackets save lives, but they only work if you are wearing them.
