for us here in michigan, it is april fools day for us to play with all the freshly released farm trout for catch and put-em back action. then the last saturday of april when catch and keep season open for the most part across the state.

till then the guys on the mouths of river banks around the great lakes around the mittin are chasing steal head salmon. My brother and his gang got back from the west side of the sate with a two day limit each. they are spending the weekend smoking the good stuff. (no not the wild wood flower)

what they brought back ranged in the class of 5-12 pounds on average.
