Salt review from River's end
#1
UPDATED BY PAT ON FRIDAY, April 14th,
2006

STRIPED BASS- Its time. Reports from the DEP Piers have been
consistent for schoolies being caught on bait. There has been a few reported
caught on lures at the mouth of the Lieutenant River. The action at
Hamburg isn't dead but its on its last legs. With the mild forecast for the
next week it should be good for schoolies along Great Island.
We've had some reports from the mouth of the Housatanic and the West
Wall of consistent schoolie action.

FLOUNDER- It started off good at Bluff Point but seems to be slowing
down there. We have had one report of a decent catch at the mouth of the
Connecticut River. A few flats have also been reported at the Niantic
River.

BLACKFISH- No reports yet. Theres a couple of weeks left to the season.
its now or wait until June 15th.

SEMINARS- Jim White will be signing his book and talking about fishing
with soft plastics this Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Jim has taken soft
plastics in saltwater to new heights.

HOURS- We'll be open this Saturday from 4am to 5pm and Easter Sunday
from 5am to 1pm. Next Monday through Friday we'll be open from 7am to
