kaysville pond for lunch
#1
Stopped by the pond to see if I could get any blue gill to chase. Nope nadda none, saw a couple 1" minnows. I figure it will take a couple of years for it to recover from the damage USU has done to it. For being an agricultural park I was suprised to see that all the old growth trees on the freewayside of the first pond have been removed and the edge of the second pond moved out away from the trees. Besides the shade and protection they gave to the smaller fish, they also provided food for the Catfish in the way of seeds droped in the water. In time it should come back to being a self sustaining fishery again if not over managed.

It's called "progress"! Doesn't the Legacy Highway go thru those ponds?[Wink]

That would probably make them better, straighten the edges and pave both sides.[Smile]
