Thread tool
#1
When wrapping butt wraps and using a thread tool to pack the threads, from time to time I have had trouble with the tool breaking or damaging the thread. I tried a plastic tool and a metal tool (sort of like a scribe) and with both had the same trouble.

In my search for a better tool for pushing and packing thread, I came across a "cutical stick" at the local drug store. This is a wooden stick with tappered ends used for pushing the cutical of the fingernail back. Why, I don't know, but thats what it was made for. Well, these things work great for pushing and packing threads without damaging them. The best $2.00 I've spent.

Lee's Custom Rods
http://members.net/lparsons16/

I know the feeling Bily, I was working on a Spider wrap last night, fortunately I was only about 20 threads into it, but when I was using the metal tool I broke the third and forth threads. Explained the problem to my wife and she suggested the cutical stick. Stopped off this evening after work and picked a couple up at Eckerd's.

Nice thing about them is you can easily change the shape of the tips with sand paper, their working great.

Lee's Custom Rods
http://members.net/lparsons16/
