Roaring River 2/2/03
#1
I am still not ready to put the boat in the water so I hit Roaring River. The weather was great and the fishing was great quality on good numbers. I caught 2 or 3 fish on a crackly back, 2 or a white wooly bugger, and 1 fish that would go about 5# on a griffith gnat. Hope I got all the names right as I am still new to this fly fishing thing. The wooly bugger really caught the attetion of the fish and I would have probably caught more if I had started fishing it earlier. It is interesting to see how the fish react to the bait in the clear water. I will not be anywhere near the parks during the opening weekend of the regular season! I figure I will give it a week and do my boat work and give it one more shot before I start my spring fishing.
