Granby Report 6-10-06
#1
Fished Granby yesterday morning with "theangler" and we had a great time and caught bunches of fish. The morning started a little slow (and early!) for us but about 8:00 or so we found a large concentration of lakers and had a ball catching them pretty much nonstop for the next 3+ hours 'til the wind began to howl. That made boat control tough and detection of the subtle strikes even more difficult. We didn't keep count, but I'm certain we caught 50+ and missed/lost at least that many more. We didn't weigh or measure any, but most were 2-3 lbs. We had a few 4 lbers mixed in and one that would have pushed 6 lbs. All on tube jigs with a little meat.

Typical 2+ lber:

This one was probably 26" or so and 5-6 lbs:

WHAT A BLAST!!! Thank you Don, As always it was great fun and you can't ask for a better day on the water!

I know you wanted to do some scouting but I guess when you are as good at finding the fish as you are, its hard to get back past that first or second spot. We'll have to scout next time. Thanks again Don!!

I posted some more Pic's at the gallery:

Yeah,it's awful when you can't scout because you're doin' non-stop catchin'!

Thanks, Mike. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad you got home safely!
