Bear Lake 02/08/03
#1
[Smile][Smile] Fished Bear Lake from 9 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon Saturday. We caught 4 nice cutts and one mac. The cutts were between 2.5lbs to 5lbs and the mac was 5.5lbs. We started out deep in 87 feet of water on Gus's point when we first got there. The other guys we were with started out in 54 feet of water just on the north side of the rockpile. We fished deep for about an hour and never even graphed a fish and decided to move in closer. We went and anchored in 61 feet of water just north of the rockpile and caught fish right away. We ended up missing more than we caught. The other boat caught 8 cutts but no macs. Pretty good day of fishing considering the cold weather. The water was 32.4 degrees the marina was pretty slushy but passable thanks the air bubblers. A little word to the wise, watch out for that little patch of ice at the bottom of the ramp. Walking with a limp now.
