Got back to Gods country for a few days last week & was able to do some fishing. Hit Sheridan Lake for a while Sun. 8-13 afternoon & managed to dredge up a couple small largemouth, three hammer handle pike & too many rock bass to count. Nothing big but enough to keep the granddaughters interested. Got out to Crow Creek west of Spearfish on Tue. 8-15. Didn't get anything outta there but a wet butt so hit both Mirror lakes for a little while & connected with the usual small planter rainbows. Stopped at Cox lake on the way home & found the same small 'bows. Wish I'd had time to poke around some of my other old haunts. Geez I love that area.
