Big Barbee Report 9/10
#1
Hit the Barbee chain again today.. Overcast, Air temp 62 degrees, water temp 72 degrees, water was pretty clear down to 5 or 6 feet..

Went over to seacrest and fished off the point there.. Water goes from about 4 feet to 28 feet on the break.. We worked the bottom at about 26 feet with plain old wigglers.. Caught 13 blue gills in 3 hours.. Dad caught about 15.. Most fun we've had out there in a long time.. Pulling in a fish every 5 or 6 minutes makes for a good day..

We stopped because the live well was full Smile

Wind was blowing the length of the lake toward the point and we worked it about 50 feet upwind of the break..

Moved over to Irish after lunch and cleaning the fish.. Saw a decent sized muskie jumping and worked about 45 minutes with a variety of lures but he wasn't willing to humor me.. I mean, I would have let him go after we picked him up and took his picture.. Smile

Fishing is great.. Catching is better..
