Sat. 9-9-06 Lake St. catherine, morning was very slow with Bob looseing a 3-4lber. on white spinner bait. Finnally found some at 11:00 in 8-10ft of water taking Black worms w/red flake. Watermelon crawdad w/red flake also got us some fish. Only one lgmouth, one smallie and a small pike boated. Largest only 15". Most fish taken between twin bears and big bear. Sun. 9-10-06 Went to Lake Hortonina after a cold front came in the night before.[ temp. went to 39 degrees] The bite just stopped. We fished the whole lake from weed beds to drop offs throwing everything. By 1:00 I was digging deep in the box and put on a white worm I make for tube&worming and caught the only fish of the day 16". [ never give up] Bob was able to get a small pike before we called it. This is a great lake, just the wrong day. Had to use a sea anchor for that day. Mon. 9-11-06 Lake St. Catherine. We pulled two out of the channel in the morning. Then hit the south cove. Got five more, and got our last lgmouth by the red boat house. Maniac's pumpkin salt stick w/multi flake worked in the am. Maniac's watermelon w/black flake worked in the pm. White spinnerbait got the last fish.Most fish where at the edge of the heavy weed. A better day, but this lake isn't produceing like it use to. You have to wonder if the chemical they used to kill the milfoil has changed things. Largest today was 17". Tues. 9-12-06 Lake Glenn. Today was Bobs day with his 12 and my 3 fish total. He did get a 20" that went 5.02lbs. Again dark watermelon w/multi flake in the am. with lighter color for the pm. One again with white spinnerbait. Still not good numbers for this lake. All fish in 4-8ft of water. Wed. 9-13-06 Only half a day. [ have to come home some time] Two in the channel and two more on south cove. Same baits worked today as well. Be back in May. Hope it's better.
