Looking for a radio

I am looking for a used marine band radio for my boat. I dont need anything special, I fish Lake Mead. Anybody out there looking to sell or trade?

I was in the hard ware store a couple weeks ago, I saw there is an inexpencive portable weather band am fm radio with a crank charger. Is this similar to what you are looking for or are you looking for a mountable modle?

how far out are you planning on going? and where.

you dont want to get strapped with somthing that hasnt got the range to get you out of trouble..[crazy]

I am pretty sure you dont want this unit. it ran around 240 the last time I saw it at radio shack, a portable unit that is good for about 4-5 miles. which is ok around my area southeastern michigan. lots of boats around.

ya even the cheep ones are expencive.

Thanks for the info. I am just fishing Lake Mead right now. My saltwater boat is setup with all of the latest and greatest. I am living in Las Vegas and putting together a freshwater boat. I was hoping to find a decent used radion. But so far no luck, I might have to just break down and buy a new one...
