Long beach would be closer to you than Newport beach. You could go to Pierpoint Landing and board the Primier, 22nd st Landing and board the Pursuit or go to LA Harbor Sportfishing and take the Sportking. All of the ones I mentioned are 3/4 day boats.
If you prefer the 1/2 day boats, you may want to try the Native Sun out of Berth 55, Monte Carlo out of 22nd st, or the Mat Walsh out of LA Harbor.
