Stinger hooks
#1
I have been tying some streamers with stinger hooks lately. They work great for the short striking boneville cutts that we fish for here in Utah (right flygoddess?). I hve messed around with #20 mono, and #20 spiderwire to attach them. I usually make the stinger ride upside down with the mono, and right side up with spiderwire (because it's not stiff enough to keep it upside down.) Anyway, do any of you have a preferred method of using stinger hooks?

Oh yeah, if you buy Owner hooks in the bait/conventional tackle stores they cost less than half of what stinger hooks cost in the fly shop.

fly reel backing should give a more fluid flexible hinge point.

Some braid the backing material and spider wire.
