Fishing Sandbars For Walleyes From "Shore"
#1
Has anyone ever had any luck in doing this?

When ever my parents take the boat out in the summer and stop at a sandbar, I always try to fish the slack water around it.

"Sandbars offer the most obvious structure above water and can lead an angler to potential spots. The slack water behind a sandbar is a great place to start. Walleyes are lazy and will find the easiest way to catch a meal, which means hanging in the slack water just off the current. "

I have never had any luck in fishing around sandbars, unless you count a carp.

If any of you have any advice as what to look for or what lures to use feel free to jump in.

Remember this is from "shore"/already on the sandbar.

thanks.
