LA GRANDE, Ore. (AP) — Peggy Martin says riding the Wallowa Union Railroad and Minam Motels Fish Train down the Wallowa River Canyon is her way of slowing down and freshening her perspective. “I come here a lot, every chance I get,” she said.
She didn’t have her fishing rod with her, but lots of other passengers did, and got off at likely fishing holes as the Eagle Cap Excursion Train began its 2007 season.
